Potential New Scientific Research Projects at DTU

On 22nd February, 2011, Mr. Huynh Phuoc, the Manager of the Science and Technology Department led a delegation to DTU to discuss ways of increasing levels of university scientific research in the Danang area.

Assistant Professor Nguyen Ngoc Minh, DTU Vice-Rector, briefly reported on the current scientific research projects underway at DTU. The DTU Management Board has encouraged scientific research since its inception and much has already been achieved. However, DTU still needs the support of the Science and Technology Department to accelerate future research growth.

Mr. Huynh Phuoc said: “DTU has already found ways of conducting scientific research. We will try our best to support DTU to accelerate future growth in this field”. He added: “Danang has focused on practical applied research to solve some urgent problems. With DTU’s cooperation, it would also be easier for us to obtain project approvals in the future”.

Both parties reviewed projects already undertaken at DTU, such as: “The potential sharing of tourism activities between Danang and surrounding areas”, “The application of the international accounting standards in Vietnamese financial reports”, “Energy conservation considerations in Danang’s new architectural planning”.

Such progress was highly appreciated by the Science Technology Department and everyone looked forward to other new research opportunities that 2011 will offer.
