Sustainable Tourism Development in Central Vietnam

Tourism experts and researchers attending the international conference at DTU
 
On December 8, DTU held an International Conference for Sustainable Tourism Development in the Central Provinces of Vietnam.
 
Local and foreign Hospitality and Tourism experts were able to meet each other and exchange ideas at the conference to investigate and develop solutions and policies for sustainable development of Hospitality industry in the Central provinces  and nation as a whole.

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co said: “Duy Tan University currently offers a broad Hospitality and Tourism program, but it still does not meet the expectations of the national tourist industry. This conference permits local and international Tourism experts and professionals to come up with and exchange some practical ideas to boost our local tourism standards and the quality of education at DTU.”

The International Conference for Sustainable Tourism Development in the Central Provinces of Vietnam lasted for 2 days, December 8 and 9. 
 
The conference focused on key issues, such as the development of marine and island tourism attractions along the South Central Coast, ecotourism products and cultural and heritage programs. Also discussed were ways of finding investors for new tourism opportunities on the North Central Coast, in Danang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Thua Thien - Hue, establishing new tourist locations all over Central Vietnam and getting communities to work together for a sustainable future. Finally mentioned were how tourism management could be improved at government level and how to prepare employees to meet the stringent integration requirements of Vietnam to work with foreign tourist businesses.
