DTU Students met with Local Businesses

On February 22, the DTU Tourism Culture, Multimedia Communications and Literature & Journalism students met with business leaders from Furama Resort, Taxi Tien Sa, Vietdatravel, Phu Ninh Group, Vitours, Happy Farm and Coco River Resort Hoian.

Dr. Nguyen Tan Thang, DTU Vice-Provost, said: “Our productive partnerships with local companies have certainly made a significant difference in our development, providing the opportunity for students to gain practical experience in preparation for their future careers. Through meetings like this, I hope that companies will continue to support us to meet the stringent local and international demands.”
 
The business leaders responded to questions, including why so many graduates have a hard time finding jobs in Tourism, despite the urgent need for more and more workers in this field.

The companies talked positively about job opportunities and requirements and gave tips on writing a CV and handling interviews. They advised the students to look for jobs proactively and explained the ups and downs they had personally encountered starting their own businesses, which impressed their audience.
