Student Exchange between 11 ASEAN countries

On October 17, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Secretariat and Duy Tan University jointly held the 6th SEAMEO Polytechnic Network Meeting.

During the two - day conference,  October 16th  and 19th, delegates from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and others focused on sharing the successful practices of student exchange programs from the participating institutions; discussing future exchange programmes for students of SEAMEO member countries, reviewing and evaluating the implementation of the 4th batch of Technical Education and Vocational Training (TVET) student exchange and enhancing collaboration in the aspects of education, science and culture amongst universities and colleges in Southeast Asia and SEAMEO's partners. The action plan for the SEA-TVET network for the 2020-2023 period was also discussed at the meeting. 
 
Furthermore, a discussion on Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence (AI) also took place.  
 
Majors for study in the exchanges include Mechatronics, Electronics, Electricity, Mechanics, Manufacturing; Industrial Technology; Informatics, Computer Science; Hospitality and Tourism; Agriculture, Aquaculture, Animal Science, Fisheries; Forestry; Agro Technology, Agro Business; Food Technology; Business, Commerce, Accounting; Creative Industry, Multimedia; Civil Engineering; and Health Sciences, Nursing and Public Health.
 
SEAMEO member institutions benefit from the network, by learning about the practices of others in the region, and partnering with foreign organizations on student and staff exchanges, when they gain additional technical knowledge, experience living and working abroad and improve their foreign language skills.
