DTU is ranked by URAP in 2020 as second of twelve Vietnamese universities

The University Ranking by Academic Performance organization (URAP) announced the world’s top 3,000 universities of 2020. Twelve Vietnam universities were listed, an increase of 4 compared to 2019-2020. DTU jumped 337 places from last year to 770 worldwide and 2nd in Vietnam. 
 
URAP uses data from the Web of Science. The three main criteria are the quantities and quality of publications, the citation index and the scientific impact. URAP works independently, without reference to university self-reporting or expert voting and is becoming well-known for its objectivity.

The 2020 Golden Globe Award
 
Through his unceasing hard work in research and in the community, Dr. Ho Thanh Tam, from the DTU Institute of Global Health Innovation, was one of ten researchers to receive an award at the 2020 Golden Globes Young Science & Technology ceremony. This year, 51 submissions were received, 45 from 19 institutions and 6 potentials. Dr. Ho Thanh Tam has already left a deep impression with his research. Most noteworthy are his 17 publications in international journals, 10 in national ones and 6 from the proceedings of international and local conferences. Last year, DTU researcher Dr. Tran Nguyen Hai received a Golden Globe award in the field of Environmental Engineering.

The 2020 National Architecture Student Festival at DTU
 
From December 8 to 10, the 2020 National Architecture Student Festival took place at DTU, attended by 70 lecturers and 400 students from 21 universities and colleges nationwide. DTU students won 12 prizes in all, including: 4 First, 2 Second, 5 Third and a Global group prize in six sections: Parametric Shaping, Quick Design A, Quick Design B, Art Drawing, Photography and Sand Sculpture.

An Agreement with the AFA Audit & Appraisal Company
 
On November 19, DTU signed an agreement with the AFA Audit & Appraisal Company, to expand its business partnerships and improve educational, internship and career opportunities. DTU agreed to provide information on candidates meeting AFA’s recruitment requirements, send lecturers to teach specialized and skill enhancement courses at AFA and allow AFA to take part in its seminars, conferences and annual job fairs. AFA agreed to host field trips for lecturers and students, observation visits, internships and project practice. The two agreed to work together to develop auditing assistant and practice accounting training courses to improve student awareness and professional skills, and to cooperate on extracurricular activities, career orientation, special student exchanges, recruitment information and part-time jobs opportunities.

DTU signs an agreement with the AFA Audit & Appraisal Company
 
 Works displayed at the 2020 Vietnam Fine Arts Exhibition 
 
Professor Viet’s “Thread of Memory”, portrays a sewing machine, something that recalls the many emotions of the difficult Vietnamese Subsidy Period. This picture was also displayed at the 2020 Vietnam Fine Arts Exhibition at the Vietnam Culture & Arts Exhibition Centre in Hanoi on December 1, organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, & Exhibitions, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, & Tourism, who selected 497 works created by 483 artists to display at the exhibition, from among 3,571 works by 1,382 artists nationwide.

Scholarships worth over 100 million dong granted to DTU Law students 
 
On November 22, the Lawyers Association in Ho Chi Minh city, the FDVN Law, Dahan Law and the VVDD Lawyer companies, together with the Nguyen Hai Sam Notary’s office visited DTU and granted 23 scholarships worth a total of 106 million dong to DTU Law students severely affected by the recent storms and floods in the Central Region.
