An Agreement with the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Danang

On November 16, DTU signed an agreement with the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Danang to improve even further the quality of training, research, career opportunities and human resources at DTU, in the fields of foreign languages, business, science and technology and tourism, including academic exchanges.

Mr. Tran Chan Binh, Chairman of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Danang; Mr. Hua Chi Thanh, Vice-Chairman; Mr. Thai Huu Ham, Chief Secretary, Mr. Lam Nguyen Phong, Managing member; Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost; Dr. Tran Van Hung, Vice-Rector of DTU School of Foreign Languages; Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Head of DTU Center for Business Cooperation and Technology Transfer; Dr. Dang Thuy Lien, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Chinese and DTU lecturers attended.
 
The Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce has been operating in Vietnam for the past 28 years, with 14 representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Danang, Lam Dong, Hai Phong, Tay Ninh, Long An, Thai Binh, Vung Tau, Bac Ninh and Ha Tinh. There are 47 member companies operating from Hue to Quang Ngai, ingarment manufacturing, timber, mining, food service, tourism, seafood, transportation, finance and life insurance. TheChamber organizes regular activities, including building computer labs for schools, offering free medical examinations in rural areas and granting scholarships.

The signing is held online
 
According to the agreement, the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Danang will:
 
- Grant scholarships to the leading students in the program
- Provide internships and determine their duration
- Locate exceptional students at the DTU annual job fair
 
DTU will:
 
- Recommend eligible candidates for the scholarship program
- Recommend leading final year students for internships
- Collaborate in organizing job fairs to introduce qualified students to local members of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce
