Workshop on “Applying CNC to Industrial Production and Training”

On May 28, the Faculties of Electrical Engineering and of Machine Engineering, belonging to the DTU School of Engineering, worked with businesses to hold a workshop on “Applying CNC to industrial production and training”. The workshop was attended by representatives of QS Technology & Engineering LLC and of Meccom LLC, leaders of the STEM&FAP practice room, and a great lot of lecturers and students of the DTU School of Engineering Faculties of Electrical Engineering and of Machine Engineering.

A great lot of lecturers and students attended the workshop
 
At the workshop, the business representatives provided the students with knowledge on CNC systems and their practical applications to industrial production, and information on the products currently using CNC systems being produced and distributed by their companies. Mr Tran Hoang Giang, representing QS Technology, which is specialized in designing control systems for from 3 to 8-axis CNC machines and which they distribute to over twenty countries around the world, proposed ideas to improve CNC technology teaching at the School of Engineering Faculties of Electrical Engineering and of Machine Engineering.

Still during the workshop, the speakers and business representatives presented sample CNC systems as a gift and pledged to provide instructions, warranty, and support for the installation of the machines for them to be used in lecturing in relevant majors at DTU.
