Odonto-Stomatology students are trained in DTU’s state-of-the-art dental labs. They use dental chairs, installed in the basement of Block F in the South Hoa Khanh campus, besides 20 dental simulators and 20 dental handsets for their practice. Odonto-Stomatology students are taught by a team of highly qualified lecturers and doctors at local hospitals, and combine theoretical and practical training.

On August 8th and 9th, a large number of DTU students majoring in Odonto-Stomatology enthusiastically participated in the Oral Health program jointly held by the DTU Medical Simulation Center and the DTU Faculty of Odonto-
Stomatology.

At the event, DTU staff, lecturers and their children had a dental checkup and dental X-rays to evaluate their oral health. Also, dental hygienists provided participants with instructions for good oral hygiene.

Some of the DTU lecturers and staff had their teeth tartar scraped off, others got tooth-colored cosmetic fillings and some had teeth extracted.

For the children, dentists applied SDF (Silver Diamine Fluoride), a liquid substance approved for the prevention of tooth cavities (or caries) forming, growing, and spreading to other teeth.
