Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, Well-rounded Prize: The board of organizers awarded a Well-rounded prize to Group 8 and student Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, who is studying in the CSU international-standard Architecture program at DTU. Participating in the 2024 Architecture Student Festival was an invaluable experience for Yen Nhi, as she and her friends from DTU could engage in many activities there, compete with many young people from other universities, and learn useful knowledge and skills. Yen Nhi also believes that the support of DTU lecturers in classes and competitions has helped her build a solid foundation of specialized expertise and recognize her shortcomings and what she needs to improve to develop herself for the future.

Hoang Van Tan Dat, Quick Design second prize: Student Hoang Van Tan Dat, studying Architecture at DTU, and his team members conceived of the design and solutions for a complex named “Long An Van.” This design was initially inspired by the heritage of the covered walkways of the Hue Imperial City, featuring a zigzag approach leading up to the Eo Bau wall. This design aims to create a walking space for tourists, locals, and specifically people with disabilities.

Vu Nhat Minh, Quick Design B third prize (Group 5): The design idea by student Vu Nhat Minh, studying Architectural Engineering at DTU, and his team members received a good evaluation for being unique and highly significant for heritage conservation activities. With the name “Protection of the covered walkways, the Meridian Gate of the Imperial City”, the students aimed to preserve and protect an ancient wall originally built to defend the people but now forgotten. Incorporating intangible assets of Hue like Nha nhac (court music) and traditional craft products on the wall revived the heritage and blends it into the ongoing flow of modern times. To minimize the impact on the heritage, the group arranged mobile stalls along the route to offer visitors a multi-dimensional experience.

Along this path, bike parking, stalls, and a common plaza with various residential forms were arranged to ensure the monument’s sustainability in the new rhythm of human life.
