Danang Guides Career Paths for IT Students

According to the Danang Department of Information and Communications, the city currently has 2.3 digital technology enterprises per 1,000 residents (ranking second after Ho Chi Minh City and three times the national average). The number of digital technology personnel is approximately 53,000.

On June 8, Axon Active (AAVN) and DTU jointly held the Devday 2024, attracting hundreds of technology enthusiasts.
 
The event featured participation from over 20 prominent domestic and international companies, more than 20 exhibition booths, and 30 renowned speakers, locally and internationally.  
 
Topics covered included AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Education, Semiconductors, and many other emerging technology fields.
This event provided an opportunity for young people, students, and technology enthusiasts to access the latest knowledge, modern technology trends, and learn from leading experts in the field.

According to the Danang Department of Information and Communications, the city’s IT industry is growing rapidly and sustainably in both revenue and output, making it one of the city's key economic sectors.
 
In 2023, the total revenue of the IT sector reached VND 36,571 billion, an 8.1% increase compared to 2022. Software export turnover reached USD 147.8 million, a 12% increase compared to 2022. Danang's digital economy contributes about 20% to the city's overall GRDP structure.

"The Danang Devday 2024 is one of the city's major IT events held annually. It serves as a platform for experts, researchers, students, and IT enthusiasts to connect, exchange ideas, and share knowledge about the latest trends and developments, guiding career paths for IT students," said Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Danang Department of Information and Communications.
 
Currently, the Department of Information and Communications is developing and finalizing a project to advance semiconductor and artificial intelligence technologies, with a focus on chip design, assembly, testing, and packaging.
The goal is to have at least 5,000 personnel in the semiconductor field by 2030, including 1,500 in chip design and 3,500 in assembly, testing, and packaging.
