This year's DevDay on the theme of “AInovation” provided the latest information on AI trends such as building semiconductor and AI centers in Danang; humanism in technology; future career orientation in IT; and accelerating products with AI.

This event allowed students and technology enthusiasts to access the latest knowledge and modern technology trends, and learn from top experts in the field.

DevDay Danang is an annual IT event initiated by Axon Active Vietnam in 2015 that has become an integral part of the IT community in Danang.

According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Danang Information and Communications Department, the IT sector in Danang is growing rapidly and sustainably both in terms of revenue and output, and is becoming one of the city's leading economic sectors.

The city currently has 2.3 digital technology companies per 1,000 people (second only to Ho Chi Minh City and three times the national average). The digital technology workforce is about 53,000 people. Total industry revenue in 2023 reached VND 36,571 billion, an 8.1% increase from 2022. Software export turnover reached $147.8 million, up 12% from 2022. Danang's digital economy contributes about 20% to the city's GRDP.

The Information and Communications Department is currently developing and completing a project of developing semiconductors and artificial intelligence, focusing on chip design, assembly, testing, and packaging. The goal by 2030 is to have at least 5,000 people in the semiconductor field, with 1,500 in chip design and 3,500 in packaging and testing.

"The Devday Danang is one of the city's major annual IT events. It serves as a platform for experts, researchers, students, and IT enthusiasts to connect, exchange ideas and knowledge about the latest trends and developments, and provide career orientation for IT students," said Mr. Thach.
