Advantages & strengths
Advances in the innovation of traditional materials based on progress in science & technology are driving the development of new composite materials with many properties, modularization, standardization, prefabrication of building components, and the use of automated (and semi-automated) equipment and smart technologies in construction. The application of artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies, and big data is creating a growing demand for students at master’s and doctoral levels in Civil Engineering at universities.
To meet this demand, DTU is investing in facilities, lecturers, and curricula for its graduate programs in Civil Engineering at the master’s and doctoral levels. This aims to provide society with highly qualified professionals across various areas of the construction industry.
Program objectives
The Master’s program in Civil Engineering provides additional specialized knowledge and skills in civil engineering for graduates with experience in construction. It offers systematic, in-depth training in civil engineering and equips students with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve practical problems in construction and construction management.
The program prepares students to become experts who can work independently and creatively, identify and address practical issues at research institutions and domestic and international organizations and businesses, or pursue further advanced studies.
