DTU Enrolls 2019 Accounting Programs in Central Region

Accounting is an important and indispensable profession in any type of business. As commerce and economic development opens up in Vietnam, it is attracting foreign businesses in ever increasing numbers, providing more and more career possibilities. As a result, increasing numbers of students are studying Accounting.

For 2019, universities have announced their admissions criteria. In contrast to the profusion of larger universities in the northern and southern regions of the country, Central Vietnam is smaller, with most universities concentrated in Danang. Students applying for Accounting courses here should consider the following:

1. The Danang University of Economics

The admissions formulae at the Danang University of Economics are straightforward and based on High School Graduation Exam (HGE) results. Applicants can choose from four subject sets:

- Maths, Physics, Chemistry (A00),

- A01,

- Literature, Maths, English (D01), and

- D90.

2. Duy Tan University

DTU currently offers four majors: Accounting and Auditing (405), Corporate Accounting (406), State Accounting (409) and Tax and Tax Consulting (419).

In addition to the HGE-based traditional admissions formula at other universities, DTU has developed a new, transcript-based enrollment method for Accounting and other majors. This formula allows applicants to take the HGE with less pressure, increases their chances of admission to their preferred major and, at the same time, they are assessed more objectively and comprehensively.

DTU uses these admissions formula in four subject sets:

Maths, Physics, Chemistry (A00)
Maths, Natural Sciences, Literature (A16)
Literature, Maths, Physics (C01)
Literature, Maths, English (D01)

Applicants can independently choose their strongest combination of subjects for consideration.

The objectives of the DTU Faculty of Accounting are: “To educate students to work in all types of organizations; to adapt well to all work environments; to be proficient in IT and foreign languages; to be aware of ways of quickly researching and accumulating the latest information; to improve their spirit of learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, learning to be.”

3. Dong A University

Like DTU, Dong A University offers two admissions methods for Accounting: transcript-based and HGE-based. The subject sets considered by this university are:

Maths, Physics, Chemistry (A00)
Maths, Physics, English (A01)
Maths, Literature, Natural Sciences (A16)
Maths, Literature, Social Sciences (C15).

4. The Danang University of Architecture

In addition to the two admissions formulae offered by DTU and Dong A, the Danang University of Architecture bases admissions on an assessment of competence in national exam results. The subject sets considered by this university are:
